Because of COVID-19 we will be deciding by May 18th on what will happen with the program.

A few things we are considering are, dropping down to 20 kids per session with a drop off and pick up at Stewart with no field trips. Another option we are considering is to start in July, have 10-12 year old’s on Monday and Wednesday mornings and 13-15 year old’s on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

Available spots are limited and filled on a first come basis. Registration is not complete until payment is received. Payment should be made in the form of a check payable to “GIBP Jr. Guard Program” or by credit card. No refunds will be made after the first day of the camp.  No prorating or late fees. No exceptions on age limitations.  If your child is unable to pass the requirements specified, we will request a refund for you from the Park Board of Trustees.  Please allow three to four weeks for receipt of refund checks.


Because Junior Guards is held in an environment where injuries can occur, it is important for all participants to obey the rules of the Junior Guard Program. Be sure to thoroughly read over the Rules and have both the participant and parent/guardian sign at the bottom. The rules acknowledgment is included in the application.


At any point during the program, if you would like your child to walk home after the day’s activities, please sign and return the Permission to Walk Home Letter with your application materials.
